Time off raiding = spending gold

19 March, 2009 (16:05) | Sephrenia, collecting, pet | By: guildmum

Hmmm. I have a dilemma. When I’m not raiding, I don’t do the normal things like grind rep. For some reason I just can’t face doing Hodir stuff (maybe because there’s no pet involved). So, yesterday when I decided to have a night off raiding, I found myself with gold burning in my pockets. I checked my mount situation. I had 41. Hmmm. How much are the dragons and the rays, I wondered….

I checked the rays - 160g each and 5 to buy. I checked the dragons - 5 there too at 200g each. I bought them. Yes, even the nasty looking green one. I flew back to the rider at Wildhammer stronghold and remembered the normal flappies - dammit - there were another 5 to buy there! And they were cheaper than either the dragons or the rays - how could I forget about them!

So anyway - I’m now the proud owner of an Albino Drake

I was left wondering how to use all the mounts I have and found a fantastic add-on called livestock. It is great. It lets you pick the mounts you want to choose from, writes a macro to select a mount and knows if you’re in need of a land mount or a flappy. It will cast levitate or slow fall as appropriate should you accidentally dismount in the air or water. You can exclude non-epic versions - ohhh all sorts. I like it.

You can also use it for pets too - selecting the ones you want to choose from, or selecting all of them and again, writing a macro for you to click to summon a pet.

Now I have it in my mind that I don’t have all the mounts I can easily buy - I need the rays and the Cenarion War Hippogryph, the Armored Snowy Gryphon and the stupid mammoth things. I have 254 Stone Keepers Shards so need a few more to buy the one from Wintergrasp. I need an enormous amount of gold to get the travellers one, so I doubt that will happen for a while. I need to think this one through. I might be tempted to pvp again. I might be tempted to work on the Sons of Hodir. I have bookmarked the helpful site that has set me off thinking again.

Not raiding is dangerous for my bank balance and my playing time…..
