Love my Guildies (part 1)

Well, I braved some pvp with my lovely guild friends. First up was WSG. Right from the moment we stepped in other players were complaining because they saw our little Orphans. We tried to be nice and apologise for what Blizzard had forced upon us, but it was a bit early in the evening and the children were not in bed yet. They did everything in their power to stop us being able to re-cap the flag. And they achieved it. I swore A LOT. It is very unusual for me to get quite so aggressive and cross at people, but I’m sad to say I did. We lost the game and left with no part achievement done. Sad panda.

We went to EoTS. I headed for the flag, which had been capped by a horde before I even got there. I waited in the middle with surprising few Horde about. I picked up the flag and ran for my life casting shields, POM, renew and all sorts on myself as I ran. My lovely team mates told me where to run, healed me and kept the bad guys away. I made it to the tower! Woo Hoo. The one thing I thought would be hardest to do, I had done AND got another achievement at the same time…

Just as we had finished getting that AB popped up, so we all went there. I raced for the Stables flag but someone beat me to it, so wooshed to Gold Mine where my guildies were hodling hte Hordies at bay and I managed to cap the flag there instead. Hurrah - two parts down. This was starting to feel like I might actually manage it, although I was still a little worried about WSG as I am incredibly slow at clicking on things and people seemed so full of hate. Also it relied on horde picking up the flag and not having too many friends.

Anyway. Av came along as I whispered a guildie who knows what he’s doing in PVP and where he’s going and asked him to take me to the best tower to rescue. I set him as my focus and stuck to him like glue as I rode down AV through places I sort of recognised and found a tower. I used all my concentration skills and managed to run up the planks without falling off! Hurrah, I capped a tower! Go me.

Up popped another WSG. The Horde were FAR too good and just ran off with the flags and we lost the game very quickly. We found a few more guildies and joined again. It seemed to take forever to get in. We amused ourselves with bunnifying each other and laying eggs in smily face patterns….

We decided we probably had too many members tring to get in, so a few people left the group and we quickly got into another WSG. We lost a couple of flags and I kept dying or being held in place and missing the flag, but eventually, happily, I managed it! I DID the School of Hard Knocks achievement! I DID it!

Huge thanks to (in alphabetical order)…. Andarlond, Barkie, Dyunan, Ellisar, Jalmon, Vigilance and Yorkey. You are all amazing and I am incredibly grateful to you all for giving up your Friday evening to satify a silly old woman with a strange sense of stupidity with these bloody achievements.

On my quest for the drake, I think the last stupid RNG one for me will be at Brewfest time, where I have to get a mount. I tried this last year and killed him lots and lots and never even got chance to roll on a mount, let alone win one. I hope that Blizzard will alter the RNG a little to make it a bit more favourable, or change the rules back to allow people to buy them with the tokens. Brewfest will be a tricky one for me as I never really bothered with it much in the past because all the clothes were too ugly to want to buy, I suck at riding rams and I’m not really one for drinking to excess. Of course I got the Wolpertinger pet the first year out, but that and the maiden trinkets were all I was ever interested in.
