PUG pet and experiences

Well, I did it

pugach

I grouped with 100 strangers - yes, me!

I didn’t really enjoy it much, but for some reason it didn’t worry me as much as the school of hard knocks achievement did. As a healer I didn’t have to wait too long for my groups although it got longer as time went on - I presume the majority of people who wanted tokens or a pet have got most of what they want now. Maybe it’s cos the schools have gone back. Anyway - I’m done!

My reward…

Here I am meeting him…

So - I’m back up to 120 pets and only need the one from the children’s week reward and I’ll have them all.

Some moments I remember from my 100 people (in no particular order)…

1. Someone saying “Great healing!” I remember these moments. They make it all worthwhile. Tell your healer this and she will be a happy bunny all evening. (I told some tanks how much I appreciated them too - hope it felt as good for them).

2. A DK tank that didn’t die in one shot - hurrah! For some reason DK tanks seem to die faster and much more suddenly on me than others. I prefer bear tanks to heal, but that might be because I levelled with one ;)

3. A hunter who half way through the instance asked if anyone had a repair bot so he could buy arrows. We didn’t and carried on anyway. We were in the gauntlet bit of HoL. His dps didn’t change, so it was no loss, as the tank pointed out at the end of the run.

4. I came across a tree who said he would heal the instance. I pointed out that I had signed as healer and had 2 healing specs so could not change. He went cat, along with his friend who seemed to want to tank, but we’d got a Pala tank - both of them did lower dps than the Pala tank :/

5. I hate HoR without my guildies. Had so many occasions where people left. Still, I learnt a new way of doing the end bit by following behind the Lich King. Basically you stand on the bit sticking out on the right st the start and let him go past while killing the first group of mobs (careful you don’t fall off). Then you follow behind and pick up the next packs that way. Win!

6. There are a lot of people who, like me, like David Eddings. I met a few Polgara’s, a Poledra and a Garion. Had some nice chats and comments about my name, which was nice.

All in all, it wasn’t a dreadful experience and one that actually I might (I only said might) consider trying again.

On a different note, the guild made inroads in The Plagueworks and killed Fetergut! Go Guild. I went and had a few tries at Rotface last night. He was hard. The best thing about it for me was killing his doggie first - Precious. We noticed as she walked towards us that she had a buff that said “Precious’s Ribbon” with a subline (the funny bit in yellow) that said “Best in Show” and it made us giggle. After killing her (and some nasty trash that came and ate, yeah really ate, half the raid I noticed that she was sparkly. I looted her and found myself the lucky owner of a new shirt… Precious’s Ribbon. It’s very pretty and gives the wearer a buff that the screenie clip below shows. LOVE IT!

It kind of made up for the wipe fest that followed. It was a fun evening for me, but we did have a bit of a “herding cats” night, but hey - sheep happens. Go to sleep and stay asleep children! Damn winter colds and things messing up my raids by making kids wake up.

grats! - He is an awesome little pet, Most of the time my ‘great healing comments’ seem to be apologies from the dps ” great healing translates to - I am sorry for pulling agro all the time, and I am greatful you keep my alive”
