Toxic Wasteling - another RNG event pet - argh!
OK, so I collect pets. I had 120 out of 121 pets and knew that the last one I could obtain when Children’s Week comes around again. I have my Violet Proto-Drake. I could relax a little come seasonal event time.
I had a new goal instead. Being human and not having the Loremaster title, I’ve not done many NE zone quests. For quite a while I’ve fancied the Furbolg transformation rod thing, but never quite worked up the oomph to do it. Then I came across a guide for getting it. (Be careful - that site is full of interesting information - I lost a few hours there).
I was playing with daughter and we decided to go get one. She loved riding about as my passenger on my mammoth and motorbike. It was hilarious when we got the Dartol’s Rod of Transformation and then she had a ride…

Doing some more reading about I found out that there was a new pet - the Toxic Wasteling that was a rare drop from the new mini boss things who had taken over Shadowfang Keep. Joy of joys - thoughts of the Scorchling came flooding back. Fortunately I still have my wonderful friends. One really wants the Big Love Rocket which actually I wouldn’t mind either, but pet is more important and I would probably pass the mount for him. I say probably because, well, it IS pink
So we went. Lots. Lots and lots. Sneaked in before raids, while I was cooking dinner, etc. Finally it dropped. On the evening before Valenitnes Day. Kind of fitting really
He’s funny - he eats critters and grows bigger. He eats all critters he comes across but only grows 3 times. But you can then give him a Pet Biscuit and I think he grows some more
He swamps Gnomes.

I am a happy Seph. I had visions of not getting him and being sad for a whole year until I could try again. But this is a GOOD decade. Things are going well. I am in a good place.
(RL intermission… I start a new job on March 1st - working from home - woo hoo).

Errr…yes…he’s lovely in a glutinous vibrating green slimy kind of way…
*pets carefully*
Mind you, anything that eats gnomes HAS to be good
