Sod the Bloody Children. I will never have Blizzards babies.
I have 126 of the 128 pets I can actually get in game without buying trading cards. One I miss is a Gryphon that comes with a plushie I can buy from Blizzard for £30+ (yes, it might say less in the store, but you pay as much in postage as you do for the pet), the other is a Curious Oracle Hatchling, which I was assured by Blizzard I would be able to get come children’s week this year. I picked the Wolvar last year in case they introduced a rep thing for it. I prefer the Oracle.

Now the quest is broken. They can’t extend the time for children’s week and they can’t repeat the quest. Come on Blizzard. I really find that hard to believe. I have programmed in my past and I find it hard to believe that you can’t make a repeatable quest repeat when you already have 2 exanples of it in game (i.e. the Stromwind and Shattrah versions).
Oh no - they’d rather give us more pets we can buy for real money or use this cheap way to make us play for another year to wait for it. It’s kind of tempting to say sod you, but my subscription would not make much of a difference.
I feel let down. I rarely complain about Blizzard and their customer service, but this has really put them in a bad light for me. I think they are far more interested in making money off bought pets and working on the Alpha for Cataclysm (where they will no doubt be introducing more pets for us to buy) to keep their real fans satisfied. There are so many ways they could get round this, but instead they choose the easiest option out of it - to say “F.U.” to their customers.
Seph is NOT amused.
I did do the SW quest again and took the Curmudgeon’s Payoff as my reward. I have all the other pets, so there is no use me doing the Shattrah one again as it has no gold reward. I will not be taking any other bloody orphans anywhere, unless I can take one to get a “F.C.U.K Blizzard” t-shirt or something similar for them.

I was also very disappointed when I learned that if you did one orphan quest already, you couldn’t do the other one. Now at least they warn you that you can only pick one, but when I did it last year? Didn’t have a clue. Argh

The lack of oracle is *really* frustrating. I love the wolvar and the oracles, they’re so cute, and I feel really bad for rejecting the oracle in favour of the wolvar so I wanted to make it up to him!
