The one where Ahune finally learns to fear Sephrenia….
So - it was midsummer time again. I was feeling smug because I’ve put out, or lit all the bonfires everywhere two years ago. I had finally got my scorchling pet last year. I had nothing to do except maybe farm one of the new drops from Ahune, but they didn’t look spectacular so I wasn’t that fussed. Time to relax.
But then I read that he drops a NEW PET! I’ve spent all day getting worked up over it. Working out if you can get in from the chest drop, or if you can only get it in the bag, which you can only get once a day. I’m a born worrier, so I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to persuade people to come with me every day, what the drop rate might be, how hideous I would feel if I didn’t get the damn thing.
I got my kids sorted once back from school and logged in for a quickie Ahune run. I managed to gather son and 2 other lovely guildies (thanks Lidanya and Judgesmiler) and joined the queue (forgot to tell som that you don’t need to fly, swim, drown, swim a bit more etc, to get to Slave Pens - you can just port in.
So we arrived, killed a mob and started the event.
Ahune is not any harder as far as I could see. When he dies, you get a bag of spoils. I hovered over mine, not daring to open it for a while. I usually auto-loot stuff, but couldn’t face it this time. I clicked my bag open and saw my frost emblems and what looked like a Frozen Orb, only it wasn’t a Frozen Orb, it was an ICE CHIP!

OMG! FIRST RUN! The RNG doesn’t hate me after all. Frost Lord Ahune was so fed up of me killing him, he coughed up a pet the first go.
He is GORGEOUS!

He throws snowballs at people…

…. that makes you have a buff called “Infrigidate” and it snows round you.

I am the happiest girl in the world this evening again. No more repeated runs and immense frustration, just a sigh of relief and a sense of calm.
Good luck wishes to everyone else for their RNGs.
Oh and I almost forgot - I won the healing cloak too

Andrew - this is the second time you have posted this message. I am a happily married Mum and don’t really appreciate such comments from people I don’t know. Please tell me who you are if this is meant as a joke, or get off my blog.

Congratulations - he looks like a social menace though. I hope you’re going to look after him.
