The grass may not be greener, but dragons die
Well you might have noticed I’ve been a bit fed up about lack of raids. I don’t do well when I don’t raid. I miss the social interaction. I miss the contact. My guild had no raids planned for this week. I’ve given up posting them because of how it makes me feel when they get cancelled.
So - I mentioned to an old guild friend and bear tank (I like healing bears - Barkie my hubby is a bear and I miss healing him) that I might be available for healing if his guild was lacking a healer for a 10-man run somewhere (yes, I’m still sticking to my strict 10-man guns).
He came back and said that he might have a space in his Ruby Sanctum Heroic attempt, which was last night. Ohhh! I’m up for that I replied.
Then felt bad. I felt like a traitor. I’m not thinking about leaving my guild, it wasn’t a trial for their guild or anything, it was old friends wanting to raid together again, but I still felt like a traitor.
Anyway. I went. We failed on heroic. I didn’t do too terribly, but I wasn’t at my best. We did OK and learned a fair bit and got to phase 3 a few times, but it didn’t seem to click.
So we set it Normal and after a few tries we deaded the dragon.
I enjoyed the raid, but I missed my guildies. Sure it was a fun evening, but all in I would have preferred to do it with MY guild. No offence Gruffer and thank you very much for the opportunity to raid, but I don’t think the grass is greener.
I have an opportunity to raid with another guild who I have raided with a lot of the members before. I’m not sure if I will take them upon their offer. I feel too horrible. Am I stupid, when a load of other guild members are off doing their own thing?
Hmm. I don’t know…..

On a side note - the Frenzyheart seem to like me and have decided to cough up a Frenzyheart Brew far quicker than the Oracles gave me a mount. I only had to open 3 or 4 jars whereas I did about 50 eggs.
One day I might do a montage of the “I look like my pet” pictures I have done. I think I have quite a few now

Hey Gruff, Yes - I might be tempted to join a Naxx Immortal run I can do any content apart from RS25, ICC25 and TotGC 25 hard-mode kills, so give me a shout and I’ll see if I’m free

I generally prefer running a guild over randoms as well - no matter how nice the randoms are. I think it’s the familiarity of knowing how people work, and who all the different voices are, and all the history of teamwork you’ve built up behind you. But it’s also okay to run with a different crowd sometimes, too. I think you can learn things from it.
Also: incredibly cute picture. I must get my orphan out…

Ohh and it only makes sence that you would prefer to do it with your own guild, so i am in no way offended. Just so you know it. We are also hit by the summer, so you are absolutely right. the grass is not greener here.
On a side note. If i understand things right, you are allowed to raid old 25 man content. And i am hoping to do immortality achivement in naxx soon. Would that be something for you to join ?
